Chiara Ferrara, Post Doc Researcher

 

Chiara has earned the Ph.D. in Chemistry in February of 2014 after the three-year project “Solid State NMR techniques applied to the investigation of functional oxides”. This project has been based on a collaboration between Università degli Studi di Pavia (Italy) and Ecole Normale Superieure de Lyon (France) leading her to obtain a good experience in the field of synthesis of oxide materials (classic ceramic route, sol-gel methods), structural characterization (X ray diffraction, neutron diffraction, solid state NMR), and modeling (static lattice and molecular dynamic simulations). Currently she is working at the Università degli Studi di Pavia- Dipartimento di Chimica with a post-doc position within a project for the investigation of proton conducting fuel cells materials trough the use of DFT and MD calculations.

The results of her research are reported in 15 between articles published on international peer-reviewed Journals and national and international conferences.
