Alice Silvia Cattaneo, Post Doc Researcher
Alice S. Cattaneo (born 1979) received her degree in Materials Science in 2004 and completed her PhD in Materials Science in 2008 at the University of Milano-Bicocca. There she specialized herself in the structural characterization of advanced hybrid materials through solid state NMR spectroscopy. Her PhD thesis was mainly focused on the characterization of phyllosilicates and PLS nanocomposites. After finishing the PhD, she worked as a post-doc fellow at the Westfälische Wilhelms-Universität of Münster (D). She worked on fast ion conducting glasses, phyllosilicates and active materials for lithium ion batteries. From end 2013 she joined our group. Her research is now focused on solid-state NMR characterization of proton conducting membranes and hybrids materials for SOFC and PEMFCs and monitoring of electrochemical reactions in fuel cells through “in operando” MRI.
